Community Integration & Cultural Programs

Overview:

Programs support newcomers, Indigenous reconciliation initiatives, language supports, cultural navigators, and community events that foster belonging and practical settlement assistance (banking, licensing, and schooling guidance).

Key components:
• Settlement navigators and mentorship programs
• Language practice cafés and conversation circles
• Cultural competency training for volunteers and partner organizations
• Reconciliation programming co-designed with Indigenous partners

Operations & partnerships:
Work closely with local settlement agencies, Indigenous-led organizations, and municipal newcomer-serving tables to coordinate referrals, reduce duplication, and share client consented data for warm referrals.

KPIs & targets:
• Newcomer clients supported per year — target 1,200
• % of clients achieving independent navigation of 3 key systems (banking, housing, healthcare) within 90 days — target 70%
